Clear aligners are an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear plastic tray aligners to straighten your teeth gradually. The clear aligners are virtually invisible and much more comfortable than traditional metal braces. 

 

How Does the SureSmile Procedure Work?

The SureSmile procedure is a new and unique way to straighten teeth. The first step is to come in for a consultation so that we can assess whether or not you are a good candidate for the procedure. Once we have determined that you are a good candidate, we will take a 3D scan of the teeth. The 3D scan process allows us to see exactly how your teeth are positioned and what we need to do to straighten them. We may also take impressions of your teeth to help us create your custom-made, clear aligners with a perfect fit. 

Next, we will create a digital model of the teeth and use this model to map out the ideal position for each tooth.

Once your aligners are ready, we will provide you with the first set. You will wear each set of clear aligners for about two weeks and then return for a checkup. At each checkup, we will give you a new set of clear aligners to wear. We monitor and calibrate the entire process with advanced technology, so the treatment is always precise and effective. The whole procedure usually takes between 9 and 15 months. 

Remove the clear aligners and brush your teeth when you need to eat or drink. You can also remove the clear aligners for special occasions, like weddings or family photos.

To clean your aligners, rinse them with lukewarm water and brush them with a soft toothbrush. Be sure to rinse off any soapy residue, as this can irritate. Also, avoid using hot water, as this can warp the aligners. To disinfect your aligners, soak them in denture cleaner or a diluted vinegar solution for 10 minutes. After soaking, rinse the aligners thoroughly with lukewarm water and allow them to air dry.

It is vital to avoid getting them dirty or dusty to keep your aligners working properly. Be sure to store them in their case when not in use. Also, avoid chewing gum or eating while wearing the aligners, as this can reduce their effectiveness.
