I became a dentist because I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives. I loved the idea that the work of my hands could bring improved health and greater comfort to people: people I could continue to know and help for a lifetime.
This is the heart of Main Street Dental: We are a place where you and your family can make sure your teeth are healthy and where you are known and cared about.
My wife and two young daughters are my world. When we have a chance to be together as a family — laughing, cooking, reading, or just hanging out — I often look at them and think to myself, “This is the life!” We like to go biking on the great trails near us on weekends. We also enjoy swimming and taking martial arts classes together as a family.
My wife and girls keep me grounded and are never far from my thoughts. As a dentist, one of my guiding principles is to take care of you with the same care and heart I want others to treat my family with.
I love my patients and look forward to working with you to solve dental issues and create a treatment that works. I will explain everything clearly and carefully to understand your options every step of the way. Your time, your concerns, and your goals matter to me.
I started Main Street Dental in 2006 and am so grateful to see how people have enjoyed their experiences with us over the years. I love hearing patients say they feel at home at Main Street and tell their friends about the kindness and excellent care they receive here.

I graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2001. In 2014, I became a fellow with the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Every year, I take continuing education courses because I am committed to staying at the forefront of emerging developments in dentistry: the advances that deliver even better outcomes for my patients.
Assistant
I love it when patients enjoy themselves when they come to us. I love what I do and try to make you comfortable and relaxed as I get you ready to see Dr. Desai. Don’t worry if you are nervous or if this is your first time seeing us. We always try to make you feel safe and at home.
I assist the Doctor, chair-side, in all of the dental treatments that we offer. I act as a second pair of hands for him while also ensuring you are content and have everything you need to relax. I have been in the dental field for over 20 years and have been at Main Street for ten years.
In my free time, I like to bake and cook. I run a small catering business where we make beautiful cakes and great food for weddings and special occasions. My daughter is a Senior in High School. My husband and I enjoy spending time as much time as we can with her before she goes to college.
